Well it seems the rumours that Freddy Krueger and Jason Voorhees will be heading to WB/Netherrealm’s FANTASTIC Mortal Kombat are, in part, true.
Yes, everyone’s scar-faced, dream botherer is definitely set to appear as a downloadable, playable character and will be available from August 9, 2011.
However, remake haters like myself will wince at the fact that the playable character is modelled, not on Robert Englund’s Fred, no, but rather on the Jackie Earle Haley Fred from the 2010 remake. No word as yet if the hockey masked hero will make an appearance.
