Glasgow is STILL very much gripped by World War Z fever and with little under a week of filming remaining, George Square is still done up to the nines in it’s American finery. The stars and stripes are still flying over the city and Brad Pitt, Marc Forster and co are still creeping about.
Facebook groups have cropped up with names like “Getting so drunk on a night out in Glasgow that you wake up in Philadelphia“. This has proven to be a very big event for this little city and Glaswegians have been very welcoming to the visiting film-makers.
And now, filming has seemingly turned post-apocalyptic, as the below video and images show.
Adapted from the novel by Max Brooks, the film has recently come under fire for being unfaithful to the book with the story now revolving around United Nations employee Gerry Lane (Pitt), who “traverses the world in a race against time to stop the Zombie pandemic that is toppling armies and governments and threatening to decimate humanity itself.”
World War Z is set for release in December 2012.
