Impressive trailer arrives for lupine horror flick, Hallow Pointe

Really great werewolf films are few and far between nowadays. The 80′s saw such greats as An American Werewolf In London, The Howling and The Company of Wolves. It all started going downhill in the nineties with Wolf and Wilderness while the noughties delivered titles such as Ginger Snaps and Dog Soldiers.

Now? What do we have? The Wolfman and fuckin’ Twilight.

Well, here’s a film that might just change all that. Thomas J. Churchill’s lycanthropic horror Hallow Pointe has dropped a trailer and poster that are surprisingly promising.

The synopsis is as follows,

Hallow Pointe is a chilling story about love, life and what lengths you go through to try and save someone, all told within the classic horror staple: a creature feature. The film is centered around Madeline’s Closet, a quaint bed and breakfast hidden away from the world on a hidden dirt road in the woods. Henry and Jane are hoping a weekend there will help rekindle their love for each other. Staying there, along with a few other guests, everything seems to be going as planned until the sun sets and the full moon lights up the sky. Instead of trying to save their marriage, they must now work together to try and save their lives.

Hallow Pointe is a veritable horror “Who’s Who?” and stars such names as Tony Todd (Candyman), Kane Hodder (Hatchet‘s Victor Crowley and the ONLY Jason Voorhees), Leslie Easterbrook (The Devil’s Rejects), Tiffany Shepis (Night of the Demons, The Violent Kind), Belinda Balaski (Piranha, The Howling), Lar Park Lincoln (Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood) and Ashley C. Williams (The Human Centipede (First Sequence).

Hallow Pointe is tentatively slated for a 2012 release in the US and again, no UK details available as yet.
