Being that it’s St Andrew’s Day, it is only appropriate to continue our focus here at AndyErupts on all things Scottish; and so boils and ghouls, I bring you actor, writer, director and producer David Paul Baker: a native of Paisley, Scotland.
Baker’s latest project is horror flick Screen, a labour of love, shot on location in Oklahoma and which Baker had initially secured £500,000 in funding for before the financial crisis crippled everyone, including the film industry. Baker hasn’t let that stop him and is now back with Screen in post-production. Anway, let’s hear about the film! Screen’s website provides the following synopsis:
“A group of horror fans are found scared to death in front of a drive-in movie screen. Whatever they saw, also bled into their screens on their mobile devices. We go back 24 hours to follow two of the characters from this group.
Lola & Carrie go on a road trip to attend this halloween screening event. It’s being held at an old disused drive-in movie theatre. They also research the past reports about the drive-in. It’s haunted!
People died in front of the screen in the 70′s. This event is the 40th anniversary of the deaths. Despite this fact, nothng can stop Lola & Carrie from attending. They want to see what is on the SCREEN.”
Screen is slated for a 2012 release. Check out the teaser trailer and our picture gallery to whet your appetite.
