Door slamming haunted house movies do very little for me.
To my mind, horror in 3D is simply an effort to disguise poor storytelling and fleece money out of The Harleyquin.
What I do like in horror is good old fashioned, honest to goodness, “does exactly what it says on the tin” type zombie movies… when they’re done well, that is.
And so, I bring you news of a movie currently filming in Saskatchewan, Canada… 13 Eerie.
The synopsis is as follows:
“Six ambitious forensic undergrads are marooned on a remote island during a university field project. Unbeknownst to the group, the site was formerly used as an illegal biological testing ground for life-term criminals left for dead. But they aren’t. They’re undead.”
Slated for a 2013 release, 13 Eerie stars Katharine Isabelle (Pictured below – Freddy vs Jason, Ginger Snaps), Michael Shanks (Red Riding Hood), Brendan Fletcher, (Also Freddy vs Jason, Bloodrayne: The Third Reich) Nick Moran (Lock, Stock & Two Smoking Barrels) and Brendan Fehr (Final Destination).
According to producer Kevin Dewalt, “While you may have seen a zombie movie before, you haven’t seen zombies quite like this…” I’ll reserve judgement on this one for the moment but we here at AndyErupts will endeavour to bring you further details as they’re released.
