At the moment, Wales seems to be the home of horror in the UK; and has a fine tradition, established with the likes of 1941′s The Wolf Man; and has been used for filming of some of the more memorable scenes in films such as An American Werewolf in London. Now, in 2012, we here at AndyErupts have been following with some interest the progress of Night Of The Living Dead: Resurrection, based on Romero’s original and this time, proceedings take place in Wales.
The synopsis for NOTLD:R is as follows,
“In 2012,the deceased have risen from their graves with only one instinct-to feed on the living. As the cities are over run and civilization crumbles, a family take refuge from the undead army in an isolated farmhouse in West Wales.”
Our contact at North Bank Entertainment provided the following information with regards distribution and the cast:
“Grindstone Entertainment Group has acquired North American distribution rights to “Night of the Living Dead: Resurrection” and will release the film through Lionsgate Home Entertainment. Based on the 1968 zombie classic, the story focuses on four generations of a British family trapped in a farmhouse in Wales during a zombie apocalypse.
North Bank Entertainment’s Andrew Jones produced the film, with Independent Moving Pictures’ Robert Graham and Manish Patel as Executive Producers. James Plumb, of Mad Science Films, directed and also co-wrote the script with Jones. The cast includes British actor Sule Rimi (“Panic Button”, “Elfie Hopkins”) in the iconic role of Ben. Producer Andrew Jones and Grindstone’s Stan Wertlieb made the deal.”
More on this as and when it comes to us, fiends!
