I like Dexter. Or should that be liked?
Allow me to clarify. I love Jeff Lindsay’s novels and I loved the first series of Showtime’s Dexter. It became, at that time, my favourite show on TV and then came the second series, which was OK and the third, which was…not so great and my interest began to wane.
Things looked brighter for Dexter following the fourth season which is, for my money, perhaps the best one of them all. However, rather than ride that incredible wave, seasons five and six have left me feeling cold and, truth be told, a little bored.
So, season seven has a lot to do to keep my attention until the end of Dexter Morgan’s televised adventures.
With that in mind, some early casting news has crept out, courtesy of TV Line.
It seems that Irish man mountain, Ray Stevenson (Outpost, Rome, Punisher: Warzone) is being lined up for a major role in the seventh series as “a high-ranking member of an Eastern European crime ring who arrives in Miami determined to learn who killed one of his associates.”
Dexter Season 7 is set to air in the US from Sunday, September 30th.
More as it comes.
