1961 sees the birth of Scottish actor Robert Carlyle. Known for his roles in films such as Trainspotting, The Full Monty and as the villainous Renard in The World is not Enough, Carlyle has starred in horror films 28 Weeks Later and the excellent but under-rated Ravenous alongside Guy Pearce.
1973. Adrien Brody is born. Brody has starred in genre films such as: Splice, The Village, Predators, Giallo and an uncredited role in Natural Born Killers.
1977 sees the birth of Sarah Michelle Gellar who has contributed to the genre through her roles in: The Grudge, I Know What You Did Last Summer, Scream 2 and the role she is undoubtedly best known for as the titular character in TV series Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
