1906 sees the birth of George Sanders. Noted for his velvety voice and suave manner, Sanders has starred in genre films such as: 1945′s The Picture of Dorian Gray, Psychomania, The Body Stealers and Village of the Damned. However, it is likely that he will be best remembered for lending his voice to the part of Shere Khan in Disney’s The Jungle Book.
1953 sees the US theatrical release of House of Wax starring Vincent Price. House of Wax was the first 3D colour film from a major American studio.
1988. Sara Paxton is born. Paxton has starred in genre films such as: Shark Night 3D, 2009′s The Last House on the Left and Ti West’s fantastic The Innkeepers.
