1956. English actor Kevin McNally is born. Familiar to many from his recurring role in the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, McNally has starred in 1990′s Jekyll & Hyde with Michael Caine, popular US TV series Supernatural and The Raven with John Cusack.
1964 sees the birth of Lisa Wilcox who has starred in genre films such as: Savage, Watchers Reborn, Dead Country, A Nightmare on Elm Street: The Dream Child, A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master; and turned up alongside Robert Englund again in the TV series Fear Clinic.
1980 marks the passing of Italian horror director, screenwriter and special effects artist Mario Bava. Son of Eugenio Bava and father of Lamberto Bava, Mario Bava contributed to the genre through such works as: Revenge of the Vampire, Bay of Blood, Curse of the Dead, Rabid Dogs, Diabolik, Black Sabbath and many, many more!
