Don’t worry, no spoilers!
Fans of Supernatural will be delighted to hear that it was announced last night by the CW Network that the show will be returning for an eighth season for 2012-2013.
While viewers in the UK will have to wait until June for series seven of the show it is due to conclude in the states in a few weeks and the one question I’m left asking is where can they possibly go from here?
Not to sound negative but the series about two brothers, Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean Winchester (Jenson Ackles) who fight all things evil to an ass-kicking classic rock soundtrack has covered almost every urban legend in the book. Not to mention what they have covered from the bible… angels, demons, prophets, God, the Devil, the four horseman of the apocalypse, the ACTUAL apocalypse, losing a lot of friends and loved ones and one hell of a family history, it still astounds me that this show is capable of producing storylines that keep viewers hooked and make any sense at all.
With an eighth series on the cards and with series seven due to conclude on the 25th of this month in the US, I’m guessing that the current storyline will be continued. However, as Supernatural has proven in the past, it is pretty much impossible to tell as a hell of a lot can happen in three episodes.
So for now I will reserve judgement until the series has ended and for those of you who haven’t had the chance to watch Series Seven and feel a little left out I have also added a video of the wonderful Jared Padalecki and Jenson Ackles as Sam and Dean to the backing of the shows theme song, Carry On My Wayward Son by Kansas.
Enjoy and keep an eye out for more info on series seven and eight of Supernatural soon!
