Back in March, we brought you the news that horror titans, David Cronenberg (The Fly, The Brood, Scanners) and Sam Raimi (The Evil Dead, Darkman) would be teaming up to bring us their vision of Wendy Moore’s novel, The Knifeman.

Deadline are reporting that Oscar nominee (and fellow Brit), Tim Roth, is the man charged with tackling the lead role of John Tattersall, “a radical, self-educated surgeon who will go to unorthodox lengths to uncover the secrets of the human body.”
Cronenberg has been tapped to direct the pilot episode and will also serve as Executive Producer alongside Raimi.
