While Shengis Khan paces back and forth in his lair, one eye on his calendar, one on his watch, impatiently awaiting the release of Robert Rodriguez’s sequel to Machete, there is still news to be found.
Currently in production in New Mexico, Machete Kills has attracted some pretty big names so far such as, Mel Gibson, Michelle Rodriguez, Jessica Alba, Amber Heard, Sofia Vergara, Edward James Olmos, Demian Bichir, Zoe Saldana and, of course, Danny Trejo, who reprises his role as the titular grizzled ,Mexican ex-Federale.
Still the casting news emerges. This time, from the mouth of Rodriguez himself, who took to his Twitter with the follwing tweet…
“I just cast Charlie Sheen in #machetekills as the President of the United States! Who better?”
Yup. That’s right. Charlie Sheen.
Clearly, Sheen’s “WINNING” streak shows no signs of abating and I think it’s a good bit of casting. We all know that Sheen is not afraid to send himself up. Let’s hope Mel Gibson does the same.
The synopsis is as follows,
Machete Kills finds the titular ex-federale recruited by the U.S. government to stop a terrorist named Mendez the Madman, who happens to be Mexico’s leading cartel dealer.
