1892. Basil Rathbone is born. Undoubtedly best known for his numerous outings as Sherlock Holmes, Rathbone has contributed to the horror genre through hils roles in: Queen of Blood, The Black Cat, Tales of Terror, The Black Sleep, Son of Frankenstein; and the impossibly titled The Ghost in the Invisible Bikini!

1943. Malcolm McDowell is born. McDowell has starred in a number of fright flicks including: Clockwork Orange, Doomsday, Suing the Devil, Rob Zombie’s Halloween; and will be seen in upcoming films Zombex and Silent Night.
1951. Stellan Skarsgard is born. Skarsgard has starred in horror films such as: Exorcist: The Beginning, The Glass House and Deep Blue Sea.
