1929. Herschell Gordon Lewis is born. Known as the “Godfather of Gore”, this former English professor has directed such genre films as: Blood Feast, Two Thousand Maniacs!, Monster A Go-Go and The Wizard of Gore.
1964 sees the birth of Courteney Cox whose contribution to the horror genre comes from her recurring role as Gail Weathers in the Scream films.
1971 sees the birth of Jake Busey. Son of Gary Busey, Jake has starred in horror offerings such as: The Hitcher II, Death Row, Nazis at the Center of the Earth and The Frighteners.
