1947. Peter Weller is born. Weller has starred in genre films such as David Cronenberg’s Naked Lunch and the post-apocalyptic sci-fi horror Screamers; but he will be best known to most for his turn as RoboCop.
1980. Minka Kelly is born. Kelly has contributed to the genre through her roles in horrors such as: Devil’s Highway, The Roommate and The Pumpkin Karver.
2005 sees the North American theatrical release of George A. Romero’s Land of the Dead, starring Dennis Hopper, Asia Argento, Simon Baker, John Leguizamo; and a couple of nice cameos from Simon Pegg and Edgar Wright!
