1948 marks the birth of Oscar-winning actress Kathy Bates. Her contribution to the genre comes from her roles in such films as: Diabolique and My Best Friend is a Vampire; but it is her turn as Annie Wilkes in Stephen King’s Misery which earned her the Academy Award for Best Actress.
1954. Alice Krige is born. Known to many for her role as the Borg Queen in the Star Trek franchise, Krige has starred in horror films such as: Silent Hill, Ghost Story, Stay Alive and Stephen King’s Sleepwalkers.
1966. John Cusack is born. Cusack has starred in fright flicks such as: Identity, 1408, The Raven; and provided his voice for the animated movie Igor.
