If you have seen Scott Glosserman’s 2006 docu-slasher flick, Behind The Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon, you will be aware of the following,
A – Nathan Baesel is great as Leslie Vernon, B - It’s a pretty damn good film and C – It features a “blink-and-you’ll-miss-it” cameo from the ONLY Jason, not to mention the man under the make-up of Hatchet‘s Victor Crowley, Kane Hodder, as he emerges from an oddly familiar house…
Well, with the funding drive for the sequel well under way, director Glosserman took to the Before The Mask Facebook page and announced that Hodder would be returning for the sequel, in a larger, expanded role.

The Facebook announcement reads,
“We’re so excited to announce the addition of Kane Hodder to the B4TM family. As you know, Kane showed up for a brief cameo in BEHIND THE MASK. He’s been a fan ever since.”
Hodder had the following to say,
“I was happy to be a part of the first film. Had no idea what, exactly, I was getting myself into. But, Robert (Englund) asked me to do a favor and show up in front of the Elm Street house for a cameo, so I did it. In retrospect, I’m so happy to have been a part of such an intelligent, clever Valentine to horror fans.
I’ve been shouting the praises of Scott’s movie for several years now and I’m excited to be offered a more substantial role in the next one. It’s really important that we support indie horror and I can’t think of a bigger statement we’d all be making than getting this project fan-funded through Kickstarter. That would definitely send a message to Hollywood.”
I have already pledged some of my hard earned pounds to see B4TM come to fruition. Will you?
