1941, David Warner is born. Aside from appearing in such films as Titanic, The Man With Two Brains and Tron, versatile English actor Warner has also appeared in several genre films such as Peckinpah’s Straw Dogs, John Carpenter’s In the Mouth of Madness, Scream 2, The Company Of Wolves and perhaps, most famously, The Omen.
1949, Leslie Easterbrook is born. Perhaps most famous for her recurring role as Lt. Debbie Callahan in the Police Academy films, Easterbrook has also appeared in several horror films including The Afflicted and The Devil’s Rejects, where she stepped into the role of Mother Firefly, previously played by Karen Black. Easterbrook will soon be seen in werewolf horror Hallow Pointe and alongside Tyler Mane and Derek Mears in Compound Fracture.
2000, plodding “have sex, stay safe” teen slasher flick Cherry Falls, starring Michael Biehn and the late Brittany Murphy, premieres at the München Fantasy Filmfest.
