1927. Susan Cabot is born. The star of such horror movies as The Wasp Woman, Cabot was killed in horrible circumstances in 1986 by her own son.

1943. Soledad Miranda is born. Spanish actress Miranda starred in genre films such as: Count Dracula, Vampyros Lesbos and She Killed in Ecstasy. Miranda died tragically as the result of a car crash in 1970.

1945 sees the birth of prolific horror writer Dean Koontz. Many of Koontz’s works have been the subject of film adaptations such as: Watchers, Demon Seed, Phantoms, Soul Survivor and the upcoming Odd Thomas starring Anton Yelchin (Fright Night, Terminator Salvation).
