I am currently writing this from my hotel room on a muggy and wet night in London. Why am I in London?
Well, in case you didn’t know, from the 23rd until the 27th of August, the Empire Cinema in Leicester Square is once again playing host to Film4 Frightfest, this year enjoying its 13th year.
As part of this year’s festivities, The Thompsons, Mitch Altieri and Phil Flores a.k.a The Butcher Brothers’ sequel to their widely acclaimed vampire thriller The Hamiltons, will enjoy its World Premiere on Sunday, 26th August at 10.30am, ahead of the film’s DVD release on October 15th via Lionsgate.
There will also be a cast and crew Q&A before the screening at 10am.
The synopsis is as follows,
The Hamiliton siblings were a dysfunctional, orphaned family living in sunny suburbia. On the outside, they appear normal enough but they harbour a very dark secret…the need to drink blood in order to survive. A bloodbath at a local gas station means the family has to go on the run, eventually seeing them resurface in the U.K. with a new identity as The Thompsons. Desperate for protection in this unfamiliar country, the deadly family seeks out the help of a shadowy underground group rumoured to be sympathetic to vampires.
The Thompsons reunites The Butcher Brothers with the original cast which includes Cory Knauf, Samuel Child, Joseph McKelheer, and Mackenzie Firgens.
