1910, Silvia Sidney is born. Screen icon Sidney appeared in several genre films until her death in 1999 including Tim Burton’s Mars Attacks! and Beetlejuice. She also appeared as Aunt Marion in Damien: Omen II.
1919, Dino De Laurentiis is born. Possibly the greatest movie producer of all time, De Laurentiis’ resume is beyond impressive; Barbarella, King Kong (1976), Flash Gordon, Conan The Destroyer, Cat’s Eye, Manhunter, Army Of Darkness, Hannibal, Red Dragon… and that’s only the films he was actually credited in. He was uncredited on Halloween 2, Halloween III: Season Of The Witch, The Dead Zone, Amityville II: The Possession and Death Wish. Thank you, sir.
1949, Keith Carradine is born. Son of the great John Carradine and brother Robert (Revenge of the Nerds) and David (Death Race 2000, Kill Bill), Carradine is best known for his role as Special Agent Frank Lundy in Dexter.
