Some less than happy news has emerged this morning. Sorry folks but it seems that those damned sparkly vampires are going nowhere.
This story first emerged on Bloody-Disgusting, with the idea that Lionsgate might just reboot the franchise after the last film in the series, prompting millions of horror fans to groan in unison. Now, with the release of Breaking Dawn: Part 2 only weeks away, Moviehole are reporting that plans are most definitely underway to keep the franchise going…
As per Moviehole,
“Details are slim, but apparently Bloody Disgusting’s earlier sources that some sort of ‘reboot’ of the series was in development were on the money. My contact tells me that they’ve heard everything from a “TV show or film spin-off,” merely set in the same world as the one in the movies but not featuring the main trio, is being seriously considered” with “The Wolf Pack, one area of interest.”
So, don’t rejoice yet, my fiends. Twilight is going to be around for a long, long time.
