With the film about to enjoy its Northern Premiere as part of the line-up at this year’s Grimmfest, a new trailer has crept online for Conor McMahon’s latest effort, killer clown horror comedy, Stitches (review here).
I was fortunate enough to catch Stitches at Frightfest. It’s a crazy, funny and grisly little flick that doesn’t trouble the viewer and manages to be thoroughly entertaining.
The synopsis is as follows,
Stitches is the macabre story of Richard ‘Stitches’ Grindle, a jaded workaday kids’ birthday clown, whose one-liners are witty in a way that’s just not for kids. Stitches falls victim to a fatal party mishap at the hands of a group of particularly nasty children. Years later, the group of now teenagers attend a party at which Stitches is the uninvited guest of honor, returning to avenge his untimely death.
Directed by Conor McMahon (Disturbed, and Dead Meat), Stitches stars British funny-man Ross Noble as the red-nosed killer, Tommy Knight and Gemma Leah Devereaux.
Stitches is released nationwide on October 26th.
