1927. Director and writer Lucio Fulci is born. Known as the “Godfather of Gore” (a title also given to Herschell Gordon Lewis), Fulci’s work in the horror genre includes: Zombie, The Beyond, The Black Cat, The New York Ripper and many more! Fulci passed away in March 1996.
